Nomadesk is a business-targeted application for online data sharing, backup, and synchronization. It offers multiple computers syncronization, strong data security, and online collaborative space to store all the files.
The setup is simple. After installing the application, the user is required to sign in and confirm the mail account. After that, there are two options: to create a personal file server or a team file server. A team server has more options compared to the personal one. It allows synchronization from an unlimited number of computers, unlimited guest access to the files, folder links, and e-mail uploads. The server will appear as a local drive in My Computer. The only limit on how much data can be uploaded in both personal and team servers is the computer hard drive capacity, so a large one is recommended. The last step in setting up Nomadesk is the security setting. A unique serial number for each server is provided, enabling server access log monitoring and remote data deletion.
In the event that the computer is stolen or lost, the files can be remotely deleted, as soon as someone tries to access them. A very useful tracking option is provided as well, allowing the display on a geographic map of each internet connected machine using Nomadesk.
